i never had the pleasure of knowing anyone personally that died september 11 2001, and in a way i feel guilty for thinking i have the right to express the feelings i had that day because what i felt was nothing compared to the pain those people and thier familys went through. that morning i got my oldest son off to school and could not wait for the day to be 7pm my husband would be home from work and we would celibrate or 5yr wedding anniversary. i had plans that day to take my friend to the dr. office to confirm her home pregnancy test and was in the process of get my youngest son around when the phone rang it was my fatherinlaw he was informing me that a plane had just hit the tradetowers but he wasn't sure if it was a large or small plane. at that moment i turn on the fox news channel and right then i saw the second plane hit the tower live on television wow what a moment. i tried to contact my husband at work but had no luck he works in a big factory and the lines were busy. i got my son around went a picked up my girlfriend a drove her to her dr. appointment that was about 35min away, by the time we got there we had heard on the radio about the other planes going down in pen. and the pentigon and also the trade towers were coming down. the day that was to be so happy for my husband and i and my girlfriend who found out she was expecting a new life 9\11\01 turned out to be the worst day in our history... the following days i refused to watch anything but the news, see in my eyes that was the only way i could be part of reality there was no way i was going to watch something that made me laugh or celibrate my wedding anniversary when so many people were suffering.. of course now people have started moving on with there lives my husband and i have a new daughter and my girlfriend had a health daughter to.. we still wave our american flags out front of our house and flags on our vehicals. i believe in america and everything it stands for and i have to believe that someday soon everyone responcible will be brought to justice... thank you for listening to my story and if anyone reading this lost some that day or lived that reality believe me my story is nothing compared to your....god bless america |
