i was stationed in guantanamo bay, cuba when the attacks took place. i was on our smoke deck talking with one of my co-workers. all of a sudden he said "a plane just hit one of the twin towers!". obviously my initial reaction was disbelief, then when i looked, i was in shock. i then watched the second plane hit. all i kept thinking was that we were about to go to war. a friend of mine lost one of his best friends at the pentagon. we all just sat there and stared at the television for as long as they showed footage.
