i woke up on 9-11-01 to find that our country had been attacked by terrorists, this upset me greatly, but i wasn't nearly as affected as those who knew people who died in the worl trade centers, or of the people in new york. i decided to go to school anyways and when i walked into 1st period the news channel cnn was on and everyone was watching it. every class that i went to had the news on, and the teachers were giving us a break because they knew that this was a hard time for all of us. while in school, when we were watching the tv, the news had another breaking story which had said that another airplane had crashed into the pentagon. we found out that later on one of the teachers from our school, mrs. barbara edwards was on the plane that hit the pentagon, and that she was dead. i can remember how sad everyone was to hear that we lost mrs. edwards. there were counselors for the people who were very close to her, and there were so many different memorials of, to this day, i will never forget what has happened to our country, but in a sense it has brought our country together as one. united we stand.
