when i first seen it on tv, i was late for work. i was walking to the computer room to get a coke from the fridge to take to work with me. my mother had the news on. she wasn't there at the moment she took my friend, that was staying with us at the time, to work. i seen the the first tower had been hit and didn't think anything of it. i just thought it was a plane crash, although it was weird though b/c i had a weird feeling rush through my body. i grabbed the coke and left for work. i was listening to my favorite morning show, corey and jay. they were talking about the crash. then someone called saying that a 2nd plane hit the other tower. i knew something was wrong right then and there. when i got to work, everyone was glued to the television, i walked in the breakroom to join everyone else. i learned then that it was a terroist attack. all my friend's and family were calling me. a few minutes later everyone rushed back to the breakroom like a heard of cows. i followed them back there only to hear that the pentagon had been hit. it was the weirdest day. after work, i picked my friend up and we were driving to pick her daughter up from daycare. it was like living in a movie. people were on every corner of the streets handing out papers. everyone that was driving was so quiet. you could hear everyone's radio's in their cars all the different stations, talking about earlier that day. i collected every newspaper for 2 1/2 weeks straight. i stopped b/c i knew that this could go on for years. for awhile there everyone around here was patriotic, everyone had flags on their cars, kids were in the streets with little flags, while their older siblings had big flags waving them around. everyone that drove past them was honking and waving, yelling out "god bless america!!" now, all of that went away. i just wanted to share my experiences of my feelings and where i was when i found out about 9/11/01. nobody has ever asked me before where i was, what i was doing. my thoughts and prayers are with all the friends and families of the victims. may god bless each and every one of you and god bless america. :-)
