 my day on 9/11

i can't really remember what i did before i heard the news, but i can remember what i did afterwards. i was 15 years old at the time, and i was on the varsity football team at the time, and i was enrolled in a vocational center. i was taking classes for machine shop. (class starts at 9:05 am) class was close to being let out and we all had our stuff waiting, at the door, to catch the bus back to our high school. the bell rings, and we walk out joking around. (the time was 11:00 am) the teacher stops up and he sits his foot up on a piece of metal and say " i don't know how serious it is, and i don't want to scare you, but terrorists have hi-jacked planes and attacked the world trade center, and the pentagon." at the time i didn't know what the wtc was. so the group of guys i was with starting talking about that, and stayed quiet thinking about what was going on. we got on the bus, and went back to the school. the next thing i remember was going to my geometry class and we go in and sit down. there is some algebra stuff on the board, but it wasn't for us. i can't really remember how it was before the tone rang, but i asked him if we could watch the news. he goes to another class room and gets a t.v and for the whole block (1 hour and 45 minutes, i think) we watch the news and discuss the attack. at first the teacher said that a bomb went off in the wtc. that class was over and it was time for me to go to us/va history. i get there and he had work for us to do, and i was thinking "how in the world is he going to make us do work in this kind of situation". so we did the worksheet, and we ask him if we could watch the news. he told us " i'm sure you've been watching it all day, but if we have time at the end of class we'll watch some of it." so we worked for about 30 minutes. and watched the news for the remainder time. schools out, and everybody's going home except the people playing sports. we had football practice and we went down to the field. ( earlier in the day somebody said that there was no aircrafts allowed in the air in the area of ny, md, and va.) we was walking down to the practice field and we seen a jet in the sky. it just sorta flew around in the same spot for about 5-10 minutes, and it left. now i can't remember what official it was, but it was somebody high up in politics; they called all the schools, and told the football coaches that we must be off the field at 6:00pm that day. after practice i went home, and watched the news with my parents.

{that was my day. i know it wasn't something you expected, but i like reading stories on what people did that day. this incident on september 11 just brought us together, and hopefully bush, and tony blair will team up to attack iraq and other terrorist. god bless the usa.}
