where i was when i first heard the news....

i had just got out of bed on september 11th and i was about to get ready to go to school. i am in college and i decided to turn on the tv before i had to go. then i turned on and the attacks were on every channel and me just being in a hurry as usual i just skimmed the channels and really didn't notice what was going on but then i realized almost every channel was taken so i decided to go on one of the local news channels. imagine my horror when i saw what was happening and the feeling of helplessness i felt as all those people were dealing with this horrible tragedy and i was safe and sound in my house in arkansas almost 2000 miles away. i called my mom first and she had told me that she had heard kind of what was happening but didn't know the whole story and i filled in what i could but that day had changed everything for me. every day now i thank god that i am able to wake up another day and anyone who was directly connected to this tragedy whether they risked their life to save someone or they lost a relative or a friend. my prayers are with everyone of you and god bless america.
