9-11-01 a day of tragedy

i remember i was sitting in my 3rd period class and they told us to stop and pray for a second. we didn't know what had happened ...they didn't tell us at all. when we got to homeroom the news was on. i wanted to cry but stayed strong. my dad's a pilot and the thought was just too scary. it affected everyone. america has immigrants from all over. this is the dream country. but the dream ended. we all sadly woke up and it became a nightmare that day. families were broken apart, mothers left with babies. my dad got stuck in florida for 5 days, i knew he was ok, but i wasn't ok until the saturday morning after 9-11. when my dad came home, i told him i loved him and hugged him. i had my whole family there and i felt grateful. "you will be missed, but never forgotten."
