i was just getting off the ferry to get on the train to go to school in the city . we got off at about 8ish, stopped to get a bagel, and got to the subway. we went on and as we were riding felt a jolt sorta and a loud bang noise, but hey, it's the subway that usually happens i guess. so thinking nothing of it, we went to school. our first class they told us what had happend, sent us back to homeroom and put us on lockdown. my grandfather had to walk 43 blocks to get me and my friend out. we took 3 cabs, 2 trains, and some lady took us in a car over the verranzano bridge to get to staten island again at night. we left school at 11, didn't return home until after 8pm. i still remember the armed guards and people jus walkin covered in ash. a day i'll never forget...
