i was cleaning the bathtub when one of my relatives came in and told me that some buildings in ny had been hit by planes and all aircraft in u.s. airspace had been ordered to land. i went out of the bathroom and looked at the tv and there it was, number 1 & 2 trade towers burning. it was approximately 9:12am and i knew from that moment our lives would change. in one moment some people from far away decided to play god with almost 3,000 american lives. i will not stand for it. i am not a person who waves the american flag but then hides behind it when trouble comes. i will always and forever stand in front of it. i had plans of coming into the air force pre 9-11 but it was ever more clear post 9-11 where i belonged. in our military, defending our freedoms. making truth, justice, and the american way mean something. for all of you i promise you and make no doubt's about it, this man is going to fight for you. the only thing you can do to honor me and others like me in the service is to just simply live your lives. my gratification of my service comes from all of you excercising those rights which i will so undoubtably lay down my life for. trust me obl got in way over his head. so long as there are people like me in the military men like him will never survive so help me god.
