on september 10 2001, my girlfriend and i decided to watch a movie. i decided to watch "independence day". for those of you whom have not seen this movie, it is entirely about the destruction of the u.s.a. the movie shows many destructive scenes such as the white house being demolished, new york city being destructed, and many other similar scenes. my girlfriend and i eventually fell a sleep through the movie. in the morning i heard my alarm clock went off, however i always sleep through the loud aggrevating noise of the announcers on the particular station. i had a dream that new york city was destructed! i finally woke up and acted as if my dream was merely a dream. i got in my car and began my journey for school, as i turned the radio on and heard the devastating news. i was in panic and shock as i was not sure if i was dreaming! i was terrified as i called my girlfriend and asked "am i dreaming or did this really occur?" she assured and convinced me that this tragedy was not simply a pigment of my imagination. the entire situation seemed unbelievable to me for the longest time. the coincidences were boggling my mind making the entire day seem unreal. september 11th is definently a day in history in which none of us will ever forget. the images of the brave men and women whom were crushed by evil will always be engraved in my heart as true american heroes.
