it was a bright and beautiful on the day of sept. 10th. my younger brother who is a jr in high school was on his way home from school. he droves a heavy weight 1984 station wagon. on his way fron turning out of the school, his attention span was not running to well. he looked up and there was a sop in the road and cause a huge car accident with about 4 other cars. and demolished about 2 of them. i was worried not only about him but the people as well. luckily no one was hurt. he went to school the next day ashamed of what had happend. he soon leanred taht he wouldnt be the talk of the school. it was around 6am pst. my husband was on his way to school and called and told me to get out of bed and turn on out tv. he said "the world trade center has been hit by an airplane."....it went silent. i wasn't sure of what world trade center he was talking about. i thought it was the one is seattle. so, i walked out and turned on cnn. and to my absolute horror, the forst tower was on fire. not too long after that--i witnessed the horrific even, live on tv, of the 2nd plane crashing on to the wtc. that was so traumatizing to watch. i called my husband when the forst tower fell, he didn't believe me until he heard it on npr. i also called him when the 2nd tower fell. i couldnt help but put myself in the shoes of the people that were trying to get out but fell to their grave.
the worst thing was--watching people jump out of the windows to their death. i cried. for anyone who lost friends or family in the world trade center--you have my deepest sympathy. god belss you, your family and god bless america.
