 "UNITED" states of america

for a long time, i never paid attention to the name of our country. we were the usa obviously, but it never occured to me how meaningful those three letters are, until tragedy strikes. we are 50 states united... we laugh together and cry together... we reach out, we hold up.... we are proud to be americans!!!
i was at work in a cable manufacturing plant when i heard the news over the radio. our boss let us take an hour to sit outside and let the news & the shock kind of settle. most of the guys were making jokes about how the us would kick the ass of whoever did this to us... and my friends and i couldn't do anything but cry. as we were listening to our boss talk to us about what is going on, and what this means for our country, and what this will mean to our kid's kids, and their kids... i looked over at my mom (who also works with me) and i saw her crying. it made me think about how greatful i am to have her in my life, and how great and glorious things can be taken from us in a seconds time.... and we are left without the ability to say goodbye, or left without the physical proof of our missing ones.... or the comfort that they went in peace.... for 4 weeks i became greatly depressed.. i gave blood, i donated money numerous times, i even made a special page on my website dedicated to the victims, rescue personel, the familys, and our lord and savior jesus christ. i lost my desire to eat and sleep, and basically, i just felt helpless. so, what i did was starting buying every paper that i could, every day of the week, and i began making a scrap book that i can pass down in my family for the generations to come. the detailed pictures and news reports will definately mind boggle anyone who opens it.... as i am trying to make it heartfelt , that anyone reading it, would feel the pain i felt, and physically and mentally understand what a tragedy it is.
i love all of my american brothers and sisters, and from the bottom of my heart, i wish every one of you the greatest of peace and joy and love that life has to offer you. we are a strong country, and we will overcome this .
god bless.
