here is a poem for america..
the proud heart,
we hold it tight.
never to part,
but still we fight.
love for our union,
with our hands over our hearts.
praying to our lord, and taking communion,
he hears us and mends the broken parts.
feel the stinging tears,
how could this happen to us?
plastered over with fears,
we were so able to trust.
now our flag flys,
i hope to be brave.
god hears the cries,
please bless us with faith.
it's high in the sky,
it's too hard to reach.
so let it fly,
we have our kids to teach.
we have to be strong,
we were so ready.
were we wrong?
were our cries so petty?
