on 9/11/01 i came in to work to the job where i had been redeployed to five months prior. a ex-coworker of mine came running into our department to tell us that an airplane had struck the world trade center towers in nyc. at the time we only thought it was a small plane. when the radio shows proved that there was much more pandimonium going on, it really scared us. it wasn't until lunch time that we knew how much more serious it was. it seemed from that day forward our grief began and our company's downturn also continued to this day. some say it wasn't a factor, but i think it was. how could it not?
