i look out of my window and i see the peaceful people of leone pass by my house, and then i look at my television screen and i see all the mayhem the united states is facing. the wonderous thing is that we (american samoa) are 11,000 miles away from the united states of america and yet majority of the island were tuning in 15 minutes after the first plane struck! it was a sign from the lord. "look at the television set". it was scary. yet there were those who thought nothing of danger and tried to risk their lives and tried to rescue others! oh, what i would do just to see them in my dreams!
there is a song that says: "when you fell like hope is
gone, look inside you and be strong, and then you'll finally see
the truth that a hero lies in you!" mariah carey sings this song
affectionate passion and yet it reflects the lives of all those
who left us that one chaotic morning. it was a morning that woke
the people up, it was a morning that woke america up! the song
continues; "it's a long road to face the world alone, no one reaches out a hand for you to hold" the lord as our witness there were a lot of hands that were reaching out, and yet our heroes just wanted to face the world alone, there is completely nothing wrong with that! some felt that there destiny was someone who was taken away on the upper level floors and felt they had nothing left to live for so, they parished!
we can not predict the future but this is telling us something, we think that the muscular people who pull cars with their teeth are heroic, but can they stand in front of plane and go down with one of the tallest buildings in the world!?!?!?! i don't think so! the wake-up call has been given, lets stand as a nation and face the fact that we are heroes and that america is the land of the free, and home of the brave.
