waking up to the radio on a daily basis was routine, however, that would all change on the morning of september 11 2001. "a plane has just hit the wtc" in a waking daze i glance at my roomate "what a horrible tradgedy..."the radio station continues. 'what the hell are they talking about this is not a funny joke?" with teary eyes my roomate looks over 'there has been an attack in new york.'
as the day continued my eyes were glued to the tv, on my way to work that afternoon i tuned in to the radio to hear local updates. as i glanced out of my car a tear began to fall, one after the other. the atnosphere was painted with gloomy faces while the red, white, and blue peirced the sky. the flag had a new meaning 'life' the simple but complecated process we all do day in day out except this time with a twist.
traveling to new york was never on my agenda, i dont do well with crowds, however i feel my heart drop every time i thing about that horrible day. the day were the devil succecced in taking my fellow brothers and sisters lifes.
however, out of this horrible tragedy i have gained a different outlook on life stay simple, value your loved ones and stay away from the pettiness in life.

from the deepest part of my soul i thank everyone that holds the flag with pride, to our heros you are the reason we stand and to the nation as a whole unity is strength and that is found within each other and christ, hatred can only divide we should pray for everyone to unity everywhere here and there in order to stop the hate.
