hi my name is jon. on the terrible day that will be remembered in history forever, i was at lunch in my school when i heard news. a teacher had informed my fellow students and i that a terrorist was in pensylvania. we were not worried at the time because we all thought we were safe. as the day went on, more and more student were called for an eary dissmisall. us students were thinking how lucky the people were that were leaving school early. little did we know at the same time, the world trade center was collapsing. we knew nothing at school. nothing on the televisions, or news from teachers later in the day. once i had gotton off of the bus in my nighborhood, my friends dad had said the world trade center and the pentagon had been bombed by planes. i got really scared and ran to my neighbors house... which is my real good friends. as i entered the house... my friends mom was crying. i went into the kitchen and saw the burning towers of hell. i did not know what the world trade center was before then. after i had seen all of the coverage on the towers... i just started to cry. i was thinking to myself "how could something like this happen to our safe country?" but it had happened. it had seemed like i was dreaming. all a big blur. i think i watched the coverage for 2 hours before i went to my house. as i entered my own house, my parents were almost in tears. we talked about it for awhile, and then i just wanted to go to bed. to get a of the thought out of my head for awhile. the next morning, i did not want to go to school. but, my parents said, you'd be as safe at shool.. as at your own home. while i was walking down the street to my bus stop, a large airplane flew ove my head. i just stood there in awe, wondering what it was doing in the air since all airplanes were grounded. when i had gotten to school, we watched our daily news station in the morning. of course, the coverage was on the attack. it was horrible hearing about it again.
after that, i don't remember what happened. i can only recall crying every night... thinking why these terrorists could do such an aweful thing.
i still hear about more stories in the world trade center, the pentagon, and in pa. i was especially scared since the plane crash in pa was so close to my home.
september 11 will be remembered in history as a day of sadness and terror. i would like to dedicate my story to all of the brave souls who dedicated their lives for others. i would like to leave everyone who is reading this in peace and prayer.... for those of september 11.
