i would just like to say that i feel that by changing the true meaning behind the statue of the fireman on 911 is an insult to the american people. these 3 fireman did what they did by raising the american flag at gound zero because that is what they felt in their heart at the time. no one made them do it, and no one else helped them do it. they did this on their own and they should be the men recognized for this patriotic move. i understand that there are many different faces and races of firemen in nyc and all over the world, but these 3 fireman, did this not anyone else.

to change the faces on the statue would not only be an insult to the (3) firemen, but also to the photographer who took the picture. has anyone thought of him... he just happened to be in the right place at the right time. this is a picture that will never be forgotten.

lets get real, many people lost their lives on this day, and many people worked very hard, and are still working hard at ground zero. yes, everyone involved deserves a handshake and recongnition, but, at at time like this why try to deprive the people of nyc from having a statue of the original firemen who took it in their hands and raised our american flag on the site.
i am sure if a survey was taken by the citizens of the united states ,the faces representing the firemen in nyc would stay the same and the statue would be erected with their faces on it, not someone that did not have a hand in it.

thank you for listening to me. i just felt that i needed to voice my opinion. i am very upset that they are even thinking about changing the faces on the statue and needed to let someone know how i felt.

thanks for listening,
