we should have been told!

on september 11th, i was in school for at least 4-5 hours trying to think what was happening. students were being pulled left and right. rumors that the hurricane that was near by at the time had changed course and was headed dead on for us. some of the teachers said it was a local emergency. finally when my mother pulled me out and i was told that the wtc was gone, the pentagon in flames and a plane had flown in the ground in penn., i was shocked. i was very shocked and still i am. but now i have thought things over and thought 'why didn't they tell us? we are smart enought to not go crazy!' so i have come up with this: a law or something that the teachers would have to tell students what is going on- wheather it be a weather disaster, terrorist, war or just a local emergency. they shouldn't be told to lie to us or something, and if they don't know- they should find out and camly explain it to us. please start a petiton or something to tell the gov't that we aren't stupid. we know when something is wrong. so they should tell us whats going on so we aren't worrying more than we should. thank you!
