sepetember 11, 2001, 2:08 p.m. my daughter ava gabrielle wasem was born. i can remember through-out the day watching the news, but, i really had no clue of what was going on. i was so exsausted from the labor pains. it was time to push, all i remember is the doctors yelling "there is no heart beat, this last push she needs to come out". i pushed and out she came, not crying, not making a sound. my husband fell to his knees crying praying please god save our little girl. the doctor looked me in my eyes and said she'll be just fine. she was, ava started crying, i held her for what seemed like a short time, she looked at me with those big blue eyes, and i knew she would be fine. she stayed in the intensive care unit for, four days, but that's a day we'll never forget. "god took life that day, but also gave life ".
