as i drove into manhatan from long island, i noticed the city sky line and thought how many people never get to see such a terrific site, that was around 7:30 am.
one hour from then i heard on the radio that a plane hit the wtc,it sounded like it was an accedent. as i reached the roof of the building i was working in, i watched / saw the second plane hit. my heart sank to my stomack and everything began to go in slow motion, as if it was a movie. i went back to the ground floor to my work truck to listen to the radio as if to confirm what i saw. at that time my fiance called me to see if i was ok, i was num at this time. i then went to the 17th floor of this building to watch the death of the wtc and all the people who were caut in the colapse. my fiance called me again to tell me about the pentagon also being hit and reports of the sears tower. after understanding what was going on, i called my co-workers to tell them to leave the city and head back to the shop. i then headed for home were i am a volunteer firefighter. as i reached my firehouse, i signed in and was preparing to head into queens to man a fire house. i received a third phone call from my fiance telling me her aunt and uncle were on flight 77 that hit the pentagon. there names were george and diane simmons. the rest you probably can figure out. it really is a bad dream for america. rest in peace all victims of 9-11-01. thank you for this site to share my story. god bless america!!!
