i just woke up and was about to leave my room for class when my roommate's mother called. she only said to turn on the tv, so i did, and could not believe what i saw. even though my school is halfway across the country from nyc, the strong presence was felt. we held a special taps ceremony and students hung flags outside the dorm windows. a few students had the awesome idea to show the world texas a&m's strong patriotic spirit with the red, white, and blue-out. these students, along with numerous volunteers and support throughout the aggie network, were able to sell 70,000 red, white, and blue shirts and raise over $150,000 for the police and fire departments of ny. check out the website for pictures, it is an awesome site http://sports.tamu.edu/sports/football/rwbphoto/
