i was in math class when our principal announced what was happening in new york city. i was terrified about what this meant for america. i have never seen anything like this in all my seventeeen years. i have always thought that america was invincible and no one would dare mess with us. i have seen america turn on one another in pure hatred, but when this happened, i saw a sense of brotherhood in everyone. i think, that as a country, we have had a sense of security that hasn't been shaken since december 7, 1941. this really woke america up to the evil lurking outside of our fair country. as a say a prayer before bed, and as i sing "america the beautiful", and "my country 'tis a thee" in chorus class, i think of all the courages people who lost their lives trying to save other human lives. i also morn and grive with the families of lost loved ones. i can't help but wonder what the innocent people working in the world trade center did to the terroristes that could posssibly justify this horrible attack...? nothing, just shear hate.
