 Where I Was

It was 9:30-I had just gotten out of my first class at my college and went to a local food market. I was with some friends of mine and we heard of what had happened on one of those "goof" morning shows and instinctivly thought it was one of their "prank call" jokes. It wasn't until I returned to my dorm room and saw all the images. I sat down called my mother and cried. I then called my Father and begged him to come home because he has something to do with the Federal Reserve. He said he couldn't--he had to take care of some things. I went to my home and met my Mother there, my older Sister and my Older Brother. All I did on that fateful day of 9/11/01 was cry. The tears and screams of some of my fellow students still stab me in the heart like a knife. Hearing all those kids who can't get in touch with their mothers and fathers who may have worked at one of the buildings. When I was finally with my family again, I felt relief and guilt. What about all those who lost their loved ones? All those who can't find their loved ones? I only have two words for 9/11/01. Chaos. Hell.
