alot of us and me included at one time or another in our lives either mayhave had an argument with a nypd officer or something like that... someone passed too close on the street and pushed us a bit. it all means nothing really. we are all new yorkers... american brother and sisters. that is how i feel and i think i am right. i been living here in nyc since i came from puerto rica in 1977 when i was 6 years old. i am a mom and a wife and a hearbroken new yorker now. those careless days of my youth seem so far away at a place i nolonger know. nyc is never going to be the same is true. it may be wizer and stronger than ever. everytime i look around. i see a cop or a firemen i don't look at them the same. i tell them "thank you". everytime i hear of a cop killed or firemen it hurts me alot to know that they take their jobs which are basically to help other in need or in danger and they have their lives whether parents, married or still young living on their own or at home. they don't know really if their coming home at the end of their shift. i cannot be a cop cause i would quit the second i knew something big like 9/11 was happening cause i cannot leave this world knowing my kids at home i would not be able to see grow up. the greatest pleasure in life is seeing a life you created grow and emerge into someone something. i love my sunshine kids, i call them that cause after september 11th, 2001 i was in the dark and still suffer from a darkness of what happened but my sunshine kids they keep me smiling with their smile and their love is like they are saying mama is going to be alright. after all. i don't have to do anything extra they love me just to see me is like the greatest thing for them 2. well that is all for now. sometimes i find it hard to open up and talk about this so i went on the website to express my deepest pains that won't ever go away. honestly, martha c.r.a. nycmops@yahoo.com ps. ok if anyone wants to email me; married and so not interested in locos looking for love ok, just being honest i love life and have respect for myself and my familia. but if you have a comment or just looking to make friends with other nyc folks is good.
