angels looking down

on 9-11-01 i was sitting in my english iii class and we were writing poetry. well we didn't have any idea what was going on in new york. so the poem that i wrote was just what thought were going through my head. heres my peom: angels looking down angels looking down with eyes fulled with tears wondering what had happened to the people who once lived here. while watching and awaiting god looked at them and said "my angels please don't cry for soon they will be dead." the angels looked amazed that god said they would die, but understood the consequences of people who sin and lie. god brought the angels to the gate to hear the screams no cheers. we all understand that we all die, but never know what day. but for some reason today i feel, that the heavens will recieve new angels. after i turned me paper in we had an announcement over the school entercom that told the teachers to turn on the televisions and watch what was happening to the twin towers in new york, and to also pray for all the people in new york. after seeing what had happend i went up to my teacher and asked her if she could give me my poem back. she asked "why" and i told here that i feel that what i wrote in my poem has alot to do with the tragedy that has happened with the twin towers. so she gave me my paper back and then i read it and began to cry. my teacher asked me what was wrong and i gave here my poem and told her to read it. she read it and she also began to cry, she asked me if i knew about what was going on before i came to school and i told her i had no idea. so she took me to the principles office and she made me get on the intercom and tell the school what i had told her and to read my poem. after reading my poem i went back to my classroom and as i was walking through the halls all i could hear was silence. i couldn't believe what had happened with me writing a poem and then turning it in and then seeing what was going on, on tv and not knowing anything that was going on when i wrote the poem. i do believe that god gave me that poem for the 9-11-01 purpose only, it wasn't just for a grade it was for me to touch peoples hearts and help them remember what had happend on september 11, 2001.
