a blessing on a bad day!

my husband was in the delivery room, i was there to. i was giving birth to our only child. we had the tv one when the news of the first plane hitting. we thought is was an accident. i asked them the turn it off. my husband and doctor, both being special ops soldiers, didn't want to, but, agreed. by the time aspyn, our little girl, was born, the second plane had just hit. as we sat and watched, my husband turned to me and said "i guess it is time for me to go to work." and he did. three times since that day. on a day that the u.s. mourned, we celebrated. but, it the back of our mines, we also had an uncertain future. would another husband not be able to come home? we weren't sure...but, that is the life of a military family...the uncertainy of war. i guess we have mixed feelings. on a day when god recieved so many angels, he sent us one too! my heart felt sympathies go our to the families of 9/11. but, rest assured, god is with your lost loved and my husband defends their memory. god speed!
