my adventure in new york

hello, my name is mandi. i am 13 years old. at the time of the terror attaks i was only 11. i remember we were in our 6th grade classroom at garden city elementary. the teacher walked in and was crying. she told us that in new york city 2 planes had hit the world trade centers. she turned on her portable t.v. and showed the class. at the time she turned it on they were showing the replay of the attacks. a few minutes later parents came in and started picking hei children up. when i came home my mom was watching t.v. about 3 weeks later my uncle wanted me to go on a trip with him to nyc. on october 11, 2001 we left. we saw all of the rubble. there were so many cop cars. it all started to become a reality to me. i will never forget this sad experience.
