why i am where i am today

on the morning of sept. 11, 2001, i was in bed in ca when the phone rang and my dad told me to turn on the tv. as i lay there in shock looking at the tv screen, i see a plane run into the wtc. i had just witnessed the second plane hit the wtc on live tv. i had just begun my senior year and i knew that i was going to college, but i had no idea of a major, i was leaning towards pre-med, but i just wasnt sure. after the attacks, i gained so much patriotism and so much pride for this land that i call my home that i immediatly decided upon being a political science major and have recently been to confrences in washington dc and plan on going to austrailia in the summer to attend another confrence. i have become so protective over what i call my home that i am willing to do all that i can in the future to make sure that nothing like that ever happens again and that we stay strong throughout my lifetime. i am the person i am today and will be the person who i am in the future because of september 11, 2001.
