blue skys are no longer my friend

most of what i do remember are the tremendously clear blue skys-i thought my brother (lt brian ahearn fdny) kept appearing before me. just his face. many hours passing. the sky was no longer bright and blue. seeing my father (retired lt fdny) knowing we had to let him go and dig. they both walked in the valley of death. one must go on with a broken heart. one is now called a fallen hero. blue skys now make me wonder for what might have been....
