my 9-11-01 day

i awoke that morning in my apt weary eyed and half alseep. i awoke to the song by u2 called " sunday bloody sunday." the first thing i hear was, " i cant believe the news today, wish i could close my eyes and make it go away." i then turned on the tv to see my favorite building hemoriging with smoke and fire. i woke my roommate up in utter disbelief. we could not believe this was happening. we were clued to cnn watching this tragedy unfold before our eyes. i had been to the towers the year prior to this happening. that day will for ever be etched in my my and to this day i still have thoughts and remember that day till i die. i will never forget and will make sure my children and grand children never forget what i saw
