where i was on 9/11

even though i am writing this 5 months later. i remember it like it was yesterday. the principal of my school came on the pa system and told teachers to turn off there tvs and continue there teachings. since that teachers class i was in didn't have the tv on, we didn't know anything was going on. then i walked into my english class, and the tv was on because her son went to a school close to the wtc. i sat there in disbelief and then after a while, the news that a plane had crashed into the pentagon and western pennsylvania. i tried to call home then but the line was busy so i just hung up went back to my seat and watched them collapse. i went to lunch shortly after that and i was so worked up i couldn't eat or anything. for the rest of the day in sat through the rest of classes wondering if anything else was hit or was bombed. i made it through the day and went home. since i was home with my family, i was not so scared. i guess since 9-11, people have found being with their families is more comforting than being away from loved ones.
